Maha is a passionate and experienced English Instructor who holds a master’s degree in education (M.Ed.) with high distinction (Thesis: The Effectiveness of English as a Medium of Instruction in the UAE and the Gulf Region). She strives to develop understanding through fun and active learning environments. She has worked in the field of education for 13 years. Her professional and teaching experience includes teaching in several private Higher Education Institutions based in the UAE. These institutions include ALHOSN University and Sorbonne University. She taught Undergraduate (UGR) academic credit courses, which include: Academic Writing, Critical and Creative Thinking, Communication Skills, Management Communications, and Scientific & Technical Writing. Also, she taught English as Second Language as well as TOEFL and IELTS preparation courses. Her areas of specialty are: Adults’ Teaching & Learning Strategies, Teacher Training, English as a Second Language, Language Teaching Methods, Critical Thinking, and Inquiry-based Learning. Maha has also published two research papers online and presented them at TESOL Arabia Conference in Dubai, titled: “Teaching English as Inquiry” and “The Effectiveness of English as a Medium of Instruction in the UAE and the Gulf Region.”
